3 Day Dressage Clinic
Improve your riding skills using dressage for Western
or English riding. Gail Redinger, formerly from Logan and now located in
Sandpoint, Idaho, will be the instructor. Gail has trained dressage and
jumping horses for more than 20 years, and taught riding for more than
10 years. She has shown jumpers to Preliminary Level and has trained and
shown horses to FEI Grand Prix Level in dressage.
The clinic will take place on April 16, 17 and 18,
2004 at the North Logan Equestrian Center. There will be a group clinic
from 9-12 am with emphasis on:
Introduction into Dressage
Longeing Techniques
Work in Hand
Gymnastics for the horse and rider
Rider exercises and stretches
Riding patterns.
This session will be limited to 10 riders. The cost is
$150 for the entire three days.
Private lessons for jumping or dressage will be
available from 1-6 pm at a cost of $50 per lesson per day.
To reserve a spot, a deposit of $50 must be received
by April 5, 2004. For more information call Jacquelynn Henney,
435-755-6888 or Patty Johnson, 435-753-6462.
As an added note I would like to let people hear how
Gail and her horse Opie did last year. He finished the show season as
reserve champion for the Northwest Championships for both Intermediare 2
and Grand Prix and he won the reserve championship at Grand Prix for the
USDF region 6 championship with a score on that test of 63.3%. They also
were asked to be a demonstration team for a Lendon Gray symposium.
Congratulations to Gail and Opie!
